As someone who normally purchases $10 or less drugstore lipsticks, the pillow talk price tag of $34 is definitely higher than what I’m used to paying. Also, if you’re the type of person who likes to wear the same lipstick shade everyday, then again this is one of the best lipsticks you can buy for versatility. I am warm undertoned; olive who looks grey in winter and dirty honey coloured in summer. I need true autumn lipstick colours and this isn't it.This is very drying and emphasises all my lines. I’d love to see your take on the CT quads Christine like you did for the ND palettes, using the massive library of shadow singles from like CP and SG.

It’s a drier, dustier set of shades, and the monochromatic nature of it didn’t come together as well as I expected as they shades ran too much into each other. If the last shade was a few shades deeper, it would have made the quad more versatile and more likely to work across skin tones. The frostiness of the first shade didn’t jive as well with the mattes, and it all ended up looking dusty on my lid. Pillow Talk Dream Eyes (Enhance) is a medium-dark red with warmer undertones and a metallic sheen. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and easy to work with. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and blended out well along the edges.

Charlotte’s packaging is pretty basic yet elegant as the inside has lovely rose gold accents with her signature star etching and a generously sized mirror. The blush has an outer blush shade with a core that acts as a highlighter. I thought doing this would be awkward but it’s actually not! I did however, find it easier just to swirl both shades together and apply as I’m not a master at highlighter placement.

It is quite a cohesive palette and one of CT’s better ones. There isn’t a single colour in here that I even like. For those who love these shades, I’m sure it’s a wonderful palette but for me, it’s an easy “no”. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk is a moderately warm-toned, light peach with a luminous finish. It is a permanent blush that retails for $40.00 and contains 0.28 oz. Overall the quality and color payoff of everything in her new launch is great.

The eyeshadow felt soft without being too powdery, which made it easy to work with as I didn’t have issues blending nor with fallout. It wore well for eight hours before I noticed fading. Pillow Talk #4 is a medium, rosy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had good color payoff in a single layer but was hard to build it up, even over primer.
I feel like quads don’t get put together with the thoughtful consideration they need to have to make them worthwhile. My first reaction was super positive — I am a very fair toned, warm neutrals-liking person. And I’ve been interested in rosier, warm neutrals; I have enough oranges and browns to last a few lifetimes. LilyM, everything you pointed out about CT’s branding are things that I’ve noticed as well.
So today I’m excited to share my honest Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick Review and lipstick swatches of both the original and medium pillow talk lipsticks on fair skin. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium, buildable color coverage--up to mostly opaque--with a velvety, smooth, and thin consistency that clung a bit to lips, though not in an uncomfortable, drying kind of way. I just felt like it had a tendency to emphasize my lip lines a bit as some color pulled into them. Pillow Talk Dreams #4 is a deep brown with subtle, warm red undertones and a matte finish. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

It stayed on well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably. Pillow Talk Dream Eyes (Prime) is a medium red with warmer undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was more emollient–a little too emollient in my experience–with a very smooth, cream-powder feel to it. It had nearly opaque color coverage that applied most evenly with a fingertip or a dampened brush. I felt a dry brush pushed the product around a bit, so I had to be more careful to press it on and gently blend the edges.

I’m debating on getting this palette, but the amount per pan is kind of a dealbreaker for me if it’s really 0.02 oz per shadow/0.24 oz total. Last I have a quick look at the Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wands ($40 each) in Pillow Talk Light/Medium and Medium/Deep. These have been restocked so if you had your eye on these they’re back!
I could see using 3 of its shades for a monochromatic, simpler look for business or for others who need a quick, easy look. Plus having that singular pop for day into evening usage. Debating whether to buy this or the Pillow Talk quad, as this palette is quite the investment. From the first two trios you can kind of get the same look as in the quad, though I prefer the Day Smoke shade than the pink in the Original Pillow Talk quad. Absolutely love the Smoke in the Date look, I think it would look beautiful on green eyes. Again, I am glad this performed well but there are just too many shadows here that I either wouldn’t use of are too similar to other shades I already own so I won’t be getting this.
Seems as though she does indeed lack inclusion of anyone Medium or beyond. The only exception may be those Cat-eyes e/s singles from a few years back, which would have worked on anyone and everyone! Unfortunately, that’s where the brand’s inclusiveness ends. Hers is not the only brand guilty of excluding us, but it is one that does so in a way that makes it a brand that only barely gets my attention for that reason. Whilst this isn’t my kind of palette, I think it has been well done. The shimmer and matte shades had both decent pigmentation and depth to them.
I liked this color in the tube, but it just didn't work with my skin tone; it seemed to have a gray tint to it when it was on my lips. I have fair skin with a generally neutral undertone but with a cool pink/red tone on my lips and cheeks. This color would have looked fine on a "younger" me, but not on the currently-aged me.

I was never drawn to this one because a full-on midtoned peachy pink eye is not something I can pull off on my brown eyes. For blue-eyed peeps who can’t get enough of that look I guess it’s nice if not rather boring. I did however buy her Exagger-eyes palette (the Victoria Secret look one I think ??) and I REALLY love that one.
The three darker shades are just too similar, even with one being a very shimmery shade. If they’d one of the mattes a a lot lighter or darker, or at least made one a satin, it would have helped. I didn’t even check to ensure the weight was the same as the last palette released. I’m so sorry for causing you confusion and having you have to waste your time with this comment! The product describes this as an “all over glow” highlighter. I found them too glowy to be used all over the face.
